"In August of 2009 Grass Roots Jeep Club was holding their monthly meeting. At that time our meetings were held at Almathia winery. During the course of that meeting we discussed ways to bring all the local Jeep clubs together for a day of comradery.
The winery offered to allow us to use their property to have some kind of event as long as it didn’t interfere with wine season which is September and October. The best thing we could think of was a Jeep show scheduled for the 2nd Saturday in November and Jeeps in the Vineyard was born!
The 1st annual JITV was a rainy day that drew 68 Jeeps and 5 vendors. Almathia is a small winery so if we wanted the show to grow we were forced to find a new home for JITV.
We approached the Valenzano Family with our dilemma and they jumped on-board to be our new host. The 2nd Annual JITV grew to more than 100 Jeeps with 10 vendors. The show continued to grow every year with the 7th Annual JITV drawing over 300 Jeeps from all over the North East and 25+ vendors from as far away as Illinois. Thanks to all the Jeep owners and sponsors Jeeps in the Vineyard is now the largest end of year 1 day all Jeep show and shine event in the North East.
After the 9th Annual Jeeps in the Vineyard we decided it was time to pass the torch to a new group, so Garden State Jeeps was approached with the idea of taking over the event. After working through details with Grass Roots Jeep Club and Valenzano winery it's a go! Garden State Jeeps will be presenting Jeeps in the Vineyard!"
